The relief she felt was instantaneous, and she relaxed her stance at once. She did, however, not want to invite Pansy into the house such as it looked, though she could find no reason not to. Finally, she opened the door, nodding.
'I was just... you'll have to excuse the mess,' she said, blushing slightly. 'I, took a nap while cleaning,' she lied, as she hadn't cleaned at all lately. Justin did, which was the only reason the house was still clean, but clean didn't mean that toys weren't strewn around the house, just as started but not read books were, letters that had neither been opened nor read, or that had been opened, read and forgotten again. There was only so much Justin could do after working all day and even Millicent herself knew that she wasn't doing her part.
'Do you want some tea?' she asked, before she remembered that Justin had asked her to buy some. 'Or maybe I have some pumpkin juice,' she corrected herself. 'I was going to go shop today but I got caught up in the cleaning.' Another lie, but by now Millicent was so used to lying she didn't notice that it was lies any more.
