The feel of Percy´s hand on his skin had him sighing, almost as if the touch itself was a relief. Could he really mean that things were all right? Only they couldn't be. He hadn't told him anything, he wouldn't know what really happened.
'I never wanted to hurt you. I should have told you instead of... I wanted to keep you both safe but I couldn't, I should have known better than to try...' he drifted off, trying to gather his thoughts as he realised that he was rambling, but his thoughts were still confused and shattered.
'Weeks?' he asked, reminded of another voice from far away saying something like that, though the memory was miles away and as difficult to hold onto as water. Instead he tried to keep Percy there, unwilling to let him out of his sight, yet he had no strength with which to hold him. He might be out of coma but his body was still very sore and even the small movement had him wincing.
