Dennis was giddy with the literal rush of blood to the head. They would be long gone, and the lack of video cameras (Dennis had always checked for those) in the back alley would only add to the mystery of his victim's death. Not that he gave her a second thought.
He had eyes only for Luna. He hoped she would think his giddiness a symptom of the desire he truly did feel for her. She was beautiful - there was something unique about her that he couldn't quite place.
But as they took their leave of the club, he kept his arm firmly wrapped around her waist, the rush of her heartbeat keeping him oh so close.
It seemed far too cool out in the street, and he dragged Luna to a darker area where they could apparate back. "Take us back to that spot where we came, and I'll race us back home." He gave her a cheeky wink, his words not hiding his eagerness. Truth be told, he wasn't exactly eager to dawdle, not when he had a warm and willing woman who he was slowly wrapping around his little finger.
