Luna had managed to calm her beating heart after Dennis had disappeared. She didn't want to seem too eager, though she was - she'd missed this, being wanted, being desired. And Dennis made her feel all of those things and more.
She knew she ought to be scared of him but she couldn't seem to find the fear that she should have felt. She was just curious, and drawn to him - despite that she should have been feeling.
Luna was fingering the rim of her glass when Dennis slid in next to her, taking her hand again. She licked her lips and smiled when he asked if she were ready to go home. She nodded quickly, in answer to his question.
