Dennis didn't want to yell at her for pushing, and he left his mouth half opened to tell her to mind her own business.
But then he thought about owling Colin. A war of terror waged on paper. Now that could be fun. Letting Colin know he was around, but far enough away to scare him. Then he could watch, and see just how much he could make his brother squirm.
"I'll... think about it," he said finally, hoping to drop the subject for now. Although if he used her owl, then Colin would likely find out whose it was, and where he was staying. That wouldn't do at all.
He laughed at the mention of Umbridge. "She sure is, Luna. But I wouldn't want to see her cause you any trouble. I remember she was pretty good at trying to control everything back at school." Perhaps he should offer his fangs - he'd be only too happy to rid the world of her. Not that she'd be any sort of tasty meal. Probably taste like toad.
"Hmmmm, what have I been up to?" He refrained from telling her about his nocturnal activities - at least the ones that would decry the role he was playing in front of her.
"Well, you know, I like going for long walks - maybe find a small animal or two and get a meal - and I can run pretty fast." He considered how much he really wanted to tell her, as he watched her stirring a potion. The thought of drinking from an animal disgusted him beyond measure, and he almost gagged at the thought. But it added credence to his pathetic story.
"I sometimes go to clubs late at night. I can sneak in, and get to dance and just for a while pretend that everything is normal." Going out clubbing at night was something fairly normal, at least for mortals. Although he did always enjoy ending the night with a nice, tasty feed.
