Pansy pretended to be miffed, but really, Scorpius was far too precious and looked too much like Draco. 'It was you, I know,' Pansy told him with a smile. 'You are too much like your father, little Scorpius. You decided the day needed to be all about you instead and decided that was the perfect time to be born...' she teased, making faces at him to get him to smile. 'As it should be for such a handsome little man,' she announced.
'Oh, Tracey, he is beyond precious!' she gushed enviously. 'Polly is so lucky to have such handsome gentleman all near her age!' she decided warmly.
Pansy grinned at Princess Violet. 'And she's absolutely right. I think I might have gotten a little too excited about her saying anything recognizable, that I've let her do it too long,' she admitted a little guiltily.
Laughing, she told the little girl, 'She does indeed know how to play princesses, but she's not had much experience with pirates. Other than Mister Dolohov, but he was far too busy making silly faces at her to be much of a pirate,' she confided.
Pansy looked up in surprise. 'Oh, it was when that pox thing was going around. Millicent and Ella both had it, but Millicent had a bad case. It caused a...a miscarriage...and she went into a coma. And by then, Ella was all better, but she was staying at the hospital because Millicent's fellow was spending all his time there with her. So I offered to let Ella stay here with us. Oh, and I can't wait until Polly is that age! We wrote stories and learned songs and drew pictures....' she smiled as she remembered.
'You know, she was supposed to be here today,' Pansy said frowning. 'I wonder why she hasn't arrived yet?'
