"Well, that was slightly beyond my control," Tracey said dryly, a smile tugging at her lips. "Darling, I was just as annoyed. I had robes picked out and everything just in case I was able to make it although I doubt Draco would have let me leave the house."
Violet pouted a little. "I'm not allowed to say no or not shout it anyway. Mother says it's naughty," she said, not quite complaining. She perked up slightly at the sight of a younger girl and forgot about complaining. Even if she was only a baby, she was bigger than Scorpius. "Hello, I'm Violet Davis-Malfoy" she said to the younger girl. "Do you know how to play princesses and pirates?"
Tracey looked down at the children and smiled. "Violet always focuses on the important things," she muttered just low enough for Pansy to hear. "And yes, he is precious... I can't believe how much he's grown already. Violet's a bit disappointed that they can't play together yet though... Millicent?" She worried her lower lip with her teeth, looking anxious. "What happened? I haven't heard anything."
Well, it was quite possible Draco had told her something but she'd been so wrapped up in herself and her own problems that she hadn't really taken much in.
