"Hm?" He looked down at her, giving an innocent expression. "What? Oh- yes," Montague smiled slightly pushing some of her hair back with his thumb. "Just thinking." He didn't want to let her know about Cass, not yet, not now. He and his father knew, that was enough, if something happened and the Vaisey's didn't take responsibility for his arrangements, they would; it was as simple as that.
When she joked about him staying in Italy, however, he laughed again and shook his head, letting errant fingers tease down her side. "You're not the only one that wants to see their friends." He teased, before looking at her in confusion at the mention of Umbridge.
"Why?" He only vaguely remembered the woman, and he'd had no problems with her, but then he'd been 'on her side'; he supposed crossing her would be bad idea, he'd seen what it had done (and helped enforce it) to the other students.
