Miles had appeased Liam's crying, sorted out the problem and made damn sure no more family heirlooms were going to be used as toys. The boy was now satisfied that he wouldn't play with things he was distinctly told not to, and it took the appearance of Romilda's ghost to make sure the boy was calm enough that he could go back to his guests.
He ran a hand over his hair as he found Lettie and Cass in the pool room. "Merlin, sorry about that."
"What the hell's gone on here? Cass, you're slipping - I mean, all you and your talk about bending the ladies over the table, and Lettie's still fully dressed." He saw that the balls were on tthe table, and the cues were moved.
"She beat you, didn't she," he said, a little smugly as he gave Lettie a grin.
"He went easy on you love?" he asked her. "Or do I get to kick him out of my home for being a cad?"
