Miles was pleased that Lettie was not panicked to see him that morning, and she looked as beautiful as ever. He cleared his throat. "Just discussing the merits of it dear." He kissed her on the cheek.
"You look more stunning every day," he said as she turned to Cass.
"Believe only half of what he tells you and don't trust that smile. It's far too pretty by half." Miles chuckled.
But he heard a thump from upstairs and the sound of a child who was crying. He tried not to swear under his breath. "I swear that Liam has the worst timing in the world," he muttered
Throwing a look to Cass he made his leave. "Sorry, but I have to leave you two, or my son will destroy the manor around us. Don't worry Lettie, he won't bite. And if he does, I assure you it won't be nearly as much fun as when I do."
