Lee didn't hesitate to wade into the chaos and screams he found when he arrived. His mother would wring her hands and call him foolish, probably, but Lee had been raised to be rather selfless on the whole.
The children that were milling around were an especial peeve of his; Lee loved children quite a bit. The high pitched screams of one drew him, and anger surged through him at the sight of bloody tears. What kind of monster did that to a child?!
His first hex was snarled with vehemence few ever heard from Lee, and likely a shade darker than most people would think he was familiar with. "Leave him alone," he growled, casting another spell, a slicing hex, at the wacko who thought hurting kids was fun.
