I'm quite sure big brother is nothing compared to father. Big brothers are only heroes to little sisters, fathers are simply EVERYTHING. But don't warn him. It's too late to be scaring him now, after all! Picture me giggling, but never tell darling Monty that, of course. But he will be putty in their hands before they even say their first word.
I assure you, Verity O'Shea Montague, my house-elves are not raising my daughter! Harry and I are! I am! I supervise everything except dirty nappies, spit-up if I can avoid it, as many feedings as I can now that she's eating pureed stuff, going outside into the cold, eating dirt, and listening to the spoon banging on the pots! But everything else from the moment I wake until the moment she sleeps is all me!
And you have a son that you haven't told me about? Wait....I could get a sibling for Polly without pregnancy and delivery?????? A Ravenclaw, though? Try harder, Ver, for his sake!
John is grumpy and gruff. Picture Madame Pomphrey as a man, really. But I trust him. He's saved Polly more times than I care to count, and most of those from before she was born.
Well, my darling, when the baby comes out, well, I hate to tell you this, but....other stuff comes out, too. It's quite disgusting, really. And you will ask to have whatever you were wearing burned, I'm sure, because it will be beyond redemption.
And exactly my thoughts on what they put in their mouths! The healers say it is so they can learn about their world and develop immunity. I guess it works because Polly didn't get the pox and Harry was around her plenty when he was coming down with it.
Oh, I'm so....screwed is the word, I believe. I cannot be thinking about another child, I just can't! Well, I could, but no.... But.... Oh, dear!
Well, my darling, I'm not sure how you avoid them but I would say that first and foremost, you don't get pregnant by Gilderoy Lockhart. Although that would be a little hard, and we did manage the most delightful daughter. But you dodged that bullet already. The second thing is to make sure that Monty promises you not to get himself killed while you are pregnant. And Ver, honey, try not to run. And don't fall! That's where I went the most wrong, and Padma, too, if you'll remember. The rest is kind of out of your hands.
A lake? Oh, it sounds delightful, darling. I know Polly would love to play in the water. She loves the bath so much, I wish it were bigger. Oh, now I'm excited, too!
