Terry took the cup of tea, slightly disappointed that it meant the loss of Ernie's hand in his but he didn't protest. The tea gave him time to calm his nerves, and gather up the courage to suggest what he was thinking. If he had his way, they wouldn't need the extra room.
"Ben will be fine on his own, if he has Bob with him and knows where to find us--me." He quickly corrected himself, not wanting to spook Ernie so soon. He followed Terry up the stairs and stepped into the room after him. It was a great room as far as rooms went, with windows that overlooked the yard and a great view of the tree house.
"It's great," he said, placing his now empty tea cup on a nearby table. He laughed at Ernie's affected accent. He walked over to the bed and sat down, grinning up at Ernie in what he hoped was a seductive manner. "I like the bed. It's...big."
