Miles nodded. "I only know what I'm told," he said to Cass, wondering why he seemed to be belabouring the point that this was Percy's doing. Was it really his own? "Rodolphus only sees that," he admitted.
The fact that he was blatantly admitting what he was, and what he did in front of a bloody auror was not lost on him. The fact that there was only one degree of separation between that auror, and the Lestranges just made it all that much more dangerous to him. This whole damn situation was more than awkward, and he ran a hand over his closely cropped hair as he sighed.
"Cass..." he said, trying to form words of apology. He had no idea how though. He vowed that he would try to locate his mother this week. "We're both being manipulated here." He wished he could tell Cass about Daphne's parents, but knowing Cass, he'd go to Greengrass Manor, and investigate. That would be the last thing he wanted or needed. Cass would most likely be killed where he stood by the Lestranges.
