He nearly snorted at Miles' comment. 'Funny that,' he said sarcastically, throwing an angry glare in Miles' direction. He hesitated when he saw the guilt there though. As easy as it would be to blame Miles for everything, it wasn't him holding his mother captive - or him who had insisted on them keeping contact. It had been he, himself, who had decided not to break contact with his mother. It was he who had put her at risk, it was he who had chosen to not hear Bellatrix warning, he who had hurt Percy.
Everything was his own bloody fault.
He sighed, swallowing the whiskey in one gulp, not really bothering to taste it. A waste, he knew, but now he really didn't care. 'Percy kicked me out last night,' he finally said, figuring it was better that it came from himself. 'And if Rodolphus is watching me he'd know that it really was a matter of being thrown out,' he added with a glare to Miles - a warning in his eyes - this would better not be reported as in any way his fault. He couldn't help it, not as far as Rodolphus would know.
