Liam's eyes were still bugging out of his head, and he gasped when her hair went pink. He gave her just the slightest of sceptical stares. "You can do that without magic?" he asked, not seeing her holding her wand.
He giggled. "It's easier to run if you haven't got a tail," he admitted. "But it could help us slide down the plank." He looked up at her, realising something. "Hey, we have a plank. We can walk make any bad pirates walk the plank if we spot any." That made him feel better, having an ally to help sniff out any bad pirates.
When she asked him what he liked to do, he suddenly felt his face go a little red. "I like teaching Nigel to talk, coz he's only just learning."
"And I love to fly." That was a given, of course. "Daddy makes brooms, and he was the bestest kwiditch keeper ever! And so I'm gonna be a Kwiditch captain when I got to Hogwarts, and then I'm gonna play 'fessionally, like daddy." There was absolutely no doubt in his mind that he was going to be that.
