Dora's lips formed a small o as they always did whenever she thought about the money or whenever it was mentioned aloud. Her eyes went wide when Antonin handed her the documents. She was willing to accept the money now, knowing that it was quite possible they'd need it, but she was still hesitant.
"It might not be grand wealth, but it's still more than Remus and I have ever seen in our time," she said, shaking her head. "And Russia... Merlin, I don't know if it's come to that. But-- the other day I made the mistake of writing to Umbridge. It was a formal complaint about the latest decree. She wrote back, advising me to question the status of my marriage, and she's not sure that 'creatures' can marry humans. She also thanked me for informing her that veelas and werewolves are teaching the children."
Dora shook her head. "Like I said, I've fucked it up a good deal. Honestly, if that's what it comes to, I'd rather be classified as a dark creature myself. Hell, I'm expecting a new decree any day now because of it. I don't-- really, I just should have kept my mouth shut. Just one of the many things wrong with me lately."
