He hid the smirk that wanted to emerge when she gave in, only nodding in acknowledgement. He did not hide the small smile of understanding when she said Liam was the reason she'd not been able to leave this world. Would he be able to leave it if it came to that? Leave Nathaniel without a father?
He somehow doubted that.
