Miles listened as Goldstein explained, simply nodding. He seemed thorough, but Miles figured Daphne knew what to expect - she'd been through all of this before with Nigel, of course.
"Sounds good to me," he shrugged. "I mean, I'm just a spectator here today."
Looking down at his wife he squeezed her shoulder again. "I think we both agreed that we want to know if it's a boy, or a girl." He checked with Daphne, to see if that's what she still wanted.
But when he said that they could hear the heartbeat, he looked stunned. "You can do that?" he said, slightly dumbfounded.
