Miles finished stretching, noticing the protective way that Daphne's hand went to her stomach. At her question, he looked surprised. In all this mess with Rodolphus and Cass, he'd almost forgotten that he'd promised her he would visit the healer with her.
He stepped in front of her, his own hand covering hers. The thought that there was a child growing there was something he was still coming to terms with, and he was still in awe of that fact.
Thoughts of the pub and Cass and work completely fled as he gave her a warm smile. "Today is indeed a perfect day. Finnegan can open up." At least he would have someone to yell at and blame if things went wrong when he finally did come to work.
Another thought crossed his mind. "Should we take the boys as well?" They hadn't all been out together for a while. "We can tell him the good news then spoil them with a treat from Honeydukes. What do you say?" He thought he should be spoiling her a little more - but he then made a promise then and there to pick up something nice after they find out if the baby was a boy or a girl.
