It was good to hear her say it, for besides a couple of his old friends -- Fred, George, Katie -- she probably knew him better than the rest. Which didn't exactly say much about his ability to make good friends, but the times had changed a bit lately.
"Of course. I really would welcome some help," he said. "It gets tedious sometimes, and since my benefactor has left me alone, I no longer have anyone to talk things over with."
It was actually quite lonely. It was a big secret, in a way, to keep all to one's self. "So yes, I think your help would be wonderful," he told her, pleased that she'd reached out for once. He smiled at her. "Though I odn't want to overburden you."
