Remus was beginning to wonder if any of this was getting through to her. He felt helpless, unsure what, if anything he could do at this point.
It didn't have much to do with Umbridge and the situation at hand, but Remus also knew this was the heart of the matter as to what had pushed her into this downward spiral for the past several months. Remus rose from the bed and walked behind Dora, wrapping his arms around her and resting his chin on her shoulder, even as she cried.
"What do you want to do about it?" he asked softly. "No one has said you can't do anything about what's happening. If you're upset and pissed about Umbridge, then tell her so. I'm still going to register but that doesn't mean you can't let your displeasure be known."
