She'd known he was going to say that; suspected, anyway. His honest and sense of responsibility were things she'd always loved about him, but in this case it simply wasn't going to do. Dora shook her head and started to force the zipper on the first bag closed.
"You don't have to though," she said, yanking on the bag. When she turned back to him her eyes were worried. "You haven't have you? Listen, Morag owled me earlier and she's offered us their home to stay for the time being. It's better warded than we are here, and they've a basement and everything you could use for the moon. That way you don't have to register and if they come looking for you on the night, or the morning after they'll be looking in the long place."
Dora started on the second and final bag, hurrying over to their dresser and pulling out the first things she put her hands on. "It's wrong what that woman is doing, having you register like this and we can't support it. Merlin only knows what she'll do to you once you have and I don't want to take that risk. Morag also..." She paused, biting her lip quickly. "They owed mum some money before she was killed. They want to give it to me instead... an inheritance sort of thing. I don't want to take it, but if it'll help us hide then I'm willing. First werewolves and veelas... you know shape shifters are next, if only because she absolutely despises Minerva. Never mind the fact that the poor woman's still in a coma. The point is... you and I? We have to do something, and it's not registering."
