Miles heard the little laugh and looked up. There was a thread of confidence there in Rabastan's words. He tried to offer up some sort of smile, giving him a nod instead, even as he ran a hand over his head.
"Ears open... collect messages... bring them to you. Got it." It really wasn't hard. "No, it's okay. You're letting your associates know to come here and ask for me?" he replied. This meant he'd have to be here more often, and out at the bar, even more so.
"Yes, of course," he nodded, wondering just what the girls were supposed to find, even though Rabastan still told him not to worry.
The sound of the money as it landed on his desk was not unwelcome, and he nodded, just staring at it for a moment as he thought. "Very well," he nodded. "I'll stay alert, and let you know what I see." He took the bag, and put it in the new safe. He didn't want Finnegan inadvertently finding it. Then again, he didn't want to drag Daphne into this latest mess, and yet, somehow, he knew he was going to need her assistance.
"Is that all sir? We really should get back out to the bar. I don't trust those Gryffindors not to skim off the top of the till, or keep dishing out free drinks after the happy hour is over." He honestly couldn't tell, but it didn't hurt to keep the staff on their toes, especially now he was going to have to be here more often than he thought.
