Justin was about to say he had no more questions. Well, he probably would, but right now the only thing in his head was the sound of that heartbeat. He'd never forget it, not as long as he lived.
Then Millicent asked the one thing he'd pushed to the back of his mind. He squeezed her hand. "Are you sure?" he said softly. "I thought I told you it didn't matter?"
It really didn't matter - this was his baby. He'd heard the heartbeat now, and there was no turning back. He looked up to Megan, and then back to Millicent, reluctantly nodding as he ran a hand through his hair. "If you're sure," he said, kissing Millicent softly on the brow.
