"Indeed, we need to be acting a little... clumsy... in our efforts to find a new hideaway. Have some teams searching publicly, and at the same time get others to quietly look for a new base, far, far away from Gloucestershire."
He snorted at the mention of Bletchley proving himself. "I don't think it's a case of him trying to please us - more a case of self preservation. He's not as dumb as many think - Bella has an eye on him, and now his rather pretty little wife is in the mix, and he's terrified that his arse is on the line."
Rodolphus was not surprised at the assignment. "Indeed. Well, perhaps we need to get more information out of his pub. I suggested to Orla that she use him as a go-between. Perhaps we need to advise all our informants to pass on their information to him, and he can come and debrief us. After all, it would not seem out of place to bring his wife here to visit his new in-laws, would it?"
The idea seemed to be getting better by the minute.
"He's got a brothel there as well..." The thought of getting information directly out of that part of the business was also too good to pass up. "I thought I should perhaps offer Miles some recompense for his trouble. A couple of new and very loyal employees should work." Rodolphus knew of a couple of girls from Upper Slaughter who could fill that niche rather nicely.
Up until a few days ago, he would have preferred to use Escapism - his nephew's club - but now, he'd rather go with the option where he knew information would flow more freely.
