Antonin handed Nikita a folded parchment addressed to Kevin. "This will let Kevin know we've left, and that as I told him, that the three of them are free to use the house and the pool if they wish. See that they get it at a convenient hour, if you would, please."
Morag had taken whole-heartedly to the idea of travel and sailing, happily throwing what she called her sailing clothes into a canvas seabag along with a small collection of 'girly things' in a smaller bag stuffed to the bottom of the larger. Getting into the spririt, Antoinin put on his old khaki shirt and pants, brown leather jacket, and billed Captain's hat.
First portkey stop was Lisbon, Portugal, to take a look at the Mauritius, an older wishbone schooner owned by an Englishman with the unlikely name of Jasper Arts.
Antonin didn't care for the arrangement of the accommodations - there was only one double berth; hardly suitable for entertaining another couple. There was a need for paint in more than a few spots. He could see Morag wasn't sure about the tall pilot house and the battered woodwork.
Still, it was a sailboat, and they had her for the rest of the day, and any day sailing was better than most days ashore. Morag hauled up the jib while Antonin cast off and got the feel of the helm as they set out for their day on the ocean.
