Power? She was delusional enough to think she had any kind of power? The thought was laughable, and Theo actually had to work to keep his face straight. Her concerns however, he brushed off with a movement of his hand.
'Unless you are a very clumsy woman, Miss Dorny, in which case you are not someone I want working for me, there will be no need for those who hire you to ever find out that you're sharing your information with me,' he said.
He relaxed into his seat, watching her for a moment. 'You're worried I would double cross you,' he then said equally calmly, and not at all insulted as that was a fair assumption to make. He would, after all, if it came to it. 'But as long as you work for me, you would be under my protection. As long as you do not betray me, it would be foolish of me to betray you.'
He afforded himself a small smirk. 'I am not a foolish man, Miss Dorny. I protect my assets. As for control, that's something you never have in this business. Being under my wing, would rather give you more control than less. If a contact or client would turn on you - for whatever reason - you would have my entire reach to punish said person.'
