It did seem to be all happening quite fast, but then again, Padma couldn't talk. She had her engagement ring on her finger a bare two months after she returned to England. That was only a year ago and now she had a wonderful husband, and a perfect son.
Padma would have suggested getting the elves to do the shopping, but not everyone trusted their elves as much as she trusted Mimsy and Sippy.
"Adoption?" she said in surprise. "I guess with only one parent still living, it would be important." Padma smiled in support. "It seems young Liam is quite taken with you - I can only guess that makes things easier?"
At hearing how sick Daphne had been with the pox, Padma gave a sympathetic look. "Oh I'm so sorry. That was rather good of him. He must love you very much then. It's so hard to find a man like that these days, and I thought I had the last of them when I found Theo."
"Oh a manor is always much finer than a flat. Do you have any plans to redecorate the place?" She was never one to miss an opportunity to sell some of her silk to a friend.
At the lack of information forthcoming about the root of Theo and Miles' hatred, Padma shrugged. "I can only assume it was something petty, and boyish, and they both sound like they are too proud, and neither has apologised." Boys could really be ridiculous sometimes, and Padma vowed her own son would not suffer the same stupidity.
