He did sense there were things that Miles didn't tell him, and somehow he couldn't help but to be amused. He himself had never had any trouble getting animals - any animal - to like him. He did let it slip though, and listened instead as Miles commented on Guilian and Susan. Foolish indeed, trying to hex her - possibly kill her (he nearly shuddered at the thought) - but he didn't mention that of course. Just as he didn't mention that he unfortunately didn't think it was a mistake.
'Susan doesn't need much of a provocation,' he said with a smirk. 'But as I said, feel free to try, repeatedly if you still can stand. I don't have any claim on her.' Which was true, more so than Miles thought. They were after all not even sleeping together any more.
He did laugh. 'And you'd be fine with that cake coming here? When not even fine with me chatting innocently with her at a pub?' he laughed.
