Daphne was a bit taken aback by the looks he was giving her. "Why would I lie about something like that?" she asked genuinely.
It was then that Miles walked over, placing comforting hands on her shoulders, his words gentle. "I- right, of course." Little did he know how little that was helping. She'd known that was the case from the beginning, but she somehow couldn't help the small wave of disappointment.
Daphne managed to give him a half smile. "I just...don't think it's just the bond sometimes. I mean, it different from those first few weeks, you know?" At least, she hoped he did. It was certainly different for her.
"I took an anti-nausea potion," she said, nodding. "It helped for a little while," she said, shrugging. "I'm sure it will go away on it's own." Daphne didn't need to tell him that she'd missed her period since she'd recovered from the pox. That would only make this whole situation worse - her most recent test had come up negative, and she wasn't going to freak until she had something for sure to freak about.
