Daphne saw that he was trying to speak through her rushed words, and she finally just clamped her mouth shut, her nerves somewhat frazzled.
She nodded. "At the field hospital," she said quietly. "I was there, and that's exactly what you said. I think you were just...happy I wasn't dead, though. Or something." Bloody buggering hell this was awkward.
Daphne sighed, decided she might as well be honest. It's not like he wouldn't know if she outright lied anyway. "I don't know what I feel, okay? All I know is that it's driving me a little crazy...and not in a bad way. I just...can't tell what's real anymore."
She wiped at her forehead, feeling a little nauseous. "And on top of it all, I haven't exactly been feeling very well. Stomach bug or something."
