It was hard not to feel smug when you knew the fish had swallowed the bait, and Theo was glad he'd had as much practise as he had over the year or he might just have looked as smug as he felt.
As it was, his face didn't change at all as he looked over the menue. 'You're right, that does sound lovely, I'll have some of that myself,' he said, though normally he'd frown at such a simple meal. Now was not the time to be picky however.
Waiting for a server to come over, he placed their order with him, adding to that their drinks before turning back, discretely putting up privacy spells around them.
'That would depend very much on what information you were looking for,' he said cryptically, as it was not time yet to reveal his own alliances. He wanted to know where she stood, as did many others, and he would try to tempt her to disclose that as best he could. 'A man such as myself has many friends, in high and low places,' he added. 'Almost any information you'd want I would be able to get, given the right amount of time, naturally.'
