Narcissa's eyebrows peaked. Bellatrix had already diluted the bombing to near nothing! While the blonde was entirely confident that the war would be won by the correct side, she was a bit put-off by her sister's nonchalance. Her husband was dead; did Bella need to lose something so precious to understand the situation's gravity?
Greengrass Manor was a surprising proposition. "I was unaware that Rodolphus was close to the Greengrass family." It must have been a Death Eater obligation. Even Narcissa herself could afford to be more intimate with the Greengrasses, and if RODDY had somehow surpassed her in that regard, she would be shocked. He was no master of relationships.
"I shall remain in my sister's company." After a small smile, Mrs. Malfoy sighed. She did not have much of a choice, for she still feared what would happen if she remained in her own home and thus the public eye. Honestly, though, if Greengrass Manor was willing to take the Lestranges, its inhabitants could most certainly accommodate the angelic Narcissa.
Her mouth dropped open just a bit when Bella mentioned her pregnancy. Again, something so radical was so easily dismissed by her less graceful sister. Unheard of! "My, such news! You must be overjoyed." The words sounded wrong as they exited her mouth. Of course Bellatrix felt no joy here. It was for Rodolphus, and the preservation of their partnership. Sad...
"I thank you, sister. I will do my best to be of aide to you while we are together, of course." She could not help but smirk. "I do believe I am more of a beneficial resource than your husband in terms of raising heirs."
