"Oh really? I think you're only saying that because you're jealous that I'm prettier than you," he retorted, smile still in place.
"I'll pick some up them. No use in us writing away and spending more time in the office when I could spend a little extra and get us on patrol more," he replied, resolving to pick some up as soon as possible. He couldn't believe they didn't have a relationship with a shop to buy them in bulk for cheaper. "And I dread to think what happens in his head."
He nodded in agreement. "Me neither. I'm dreading my birthday because I have no idea what Stephen is getting me or doing despite my best efforts," he said, trying not to dwell on the subject as it really did aggravate him. "I hate not knowing what's going on."
Adrian sighed, looking out of the window. "I know you can't tell me what to do, I just wished I knew what to do. I can't talk to Stephen about it, not whilst I'm still undecided. It isn't fair on him," he said, more to himself than anything before raising an eyebrow at Cormac's next comment. "Boot? Wouldn't have a clue as I don't talk to him unless necessary. Seamus? Isn't that that... Mandy's ex-boyfriend? Isn't he straight?"
