Summary: Pansy returns home after the funeral to check on Harry after Umbridge's announcement, knowing he wasn't going to be happy about it.
Pansy went straight home after the funeral for Tiberius Ogden. She hated to do it to Percy, but she'd whispered to him that she had to get home to Polly. She knew Percy, and Cass, would probably read into that that she was worried about Harry, and she was. She herself had not had problems with Umbridge. She'd found the woman easy to manipulate, and Pansy had known quite well how to deal with a suck-up having been a major one, herself.
But the woman had made it her mission to try to destroy Harry, his reputation and his happiness, at least, and Pansy had no doubts that the woman had not suddenly developed a fondness for her Harry out of the blue. She was very worried.
She had hurried home and had actually made it there before Harry. She supposed there were those who had stopped him to try to discuss what had happened, and she was afraid he was going to be angry by the time he got home.
Since he slammed the door and stomped up to the third floor, she rather thought her guess had been right.
Worried, she picked up Polly and together they followed up the stairs. Respecting his privacy, mostly because she didn't want to make him more angry than he already was, Pansy called through the door, 'We're across the hall when you're ready.' Then she took Pansy into the little attic sitting room to let her play.
