"Yeah, that's to be expected," he responded softly, bringing his hand back down to the bed. She seemed to be struggling for words, and he began talking again, hoping he could answer the question she was trying to figure out how to ask.
"You came down with the virus everyone else had. We found out that it was planted here by the death eaters to weaken us, preferably kill us. The healers just recently figured out a remedy for it, which is probably why you're awake now," he told her, sighing.
"There were a lot of people who didn't make it. It was touch and go with you for a while." He wasn't sure why he'd gotten so worried about her, as he really only barely knew her, but there was something about her. Some sort of vulnerability that made him want to watch over her.
