Re: Miles & Oliver - Bring it on!
Miles was sneering in glee as he rode lower on the broom, pushing it faster. He was chuckling with a maniacal laugh when he saw Wood preparing to shoot upward. Honestly, the man was a complete chicken.
But suddenly he was winded and slammed into something hard and invisible mid air. It had to be some sort of shield, and he had been totally unprepared. The sheer lack of momentum then turned against him as he felt the broom slip out of his hands.
A moment later he was falling as well, and it was all he could do in the fast plunge towards the ground to cast a cushioning charm. The ground rushed to meet him and as he landed, he heard a sickening crunch as he landed feet first. Screaming out as he fell to the ground, and acute pain shooting up from his leg, he cursed Wood. He would get what was coming to him one day.
But as he began to black out and lose consciousness from the fall and the pain, he cursed the fact that once again, he'd fallen foul in battle, and that he hoped in hell that Daphne was safe.
