The use of his name annoyed him slightly, though in the heat of the battle the importance of this was lost to him. Instead he focused on avoiding her hexes, swearing loudly as one hit his shoulder.
It was clearly time to be tougher, as much as he hated the use of more aggressive spells. At least they were a bit off from everyone else, so there was little risk of it being deflected to someone on their side. He hoped. Once was bad enough at that.
As Susan moved the dirt to her eyes, Cass threw a bone crushing hex, followed by a slashing hex and a blasting curse, praying that at least one of them would hit her.
