Re: Airborne - Miles takes the battle to the skies
Miles was looking around at the others still in the air, cursing the fact that visibility was so poor. It was only the fact that he saw someone kicking off the ground from the middle of the village that he didn't send a hex in the way of the rider heading towards him.
Within about fifteen seconds, he recognised the other rider, and a grin broke out on his face. He did a complicated hand movement from their days of fixing matches, that he hoped Montague could see - he didn't fancy his best mate hexing him off his broom.
"Took you bloody long enough," he shouted out when they were within a few feet of each other. But this was no time for pleasantries as he jerked a thumb towards the other fliers. "Draw them away from town, or make them think they're still dropping fire on the village. They are just doing hit and miss, so let them bomb the crap out of the forest over there."
But he remembered something else as he let off a hurling hex towards the rider getting too close. Their cries as they were thrown from there broom were ignored. "Cass is here." He didn't need to explain more to Montague. "He's on the ground. I don't know if he saw me. Just keep an eye out."
With a nod, he was gone, hoping to hell he'd be having that drink later with his mate - well - both of them, actually.
