Daphne's eyes were watering as they ran through the parted smoke, and she couldn't seem to stop coughing. The next thing she knew they were on the ground floor, and Miles had grabbed both of her arms and pulled her closer.
She shook her head, completely confused. What was she supposed to do? She felt helpless and stupid, and she didn't know how to deal with all this fear. Daphne was no fighter.
"Miles, I don't even know where we ARE. How am I supposed to apparate home?" She wasn't sure if she was crying or if it was just the smoke, but the idea of trying to focus enough to apparate frightened her even more. Surely, she would splinch herself under such duress.
She gripped his arms, her eyes wide. "Just, tell me what to do. Please?"
