She felt utterly selfish, and she wanted nothing more than to be out and smiling and laughing with the children. Still her heart wouldn't allow it, her heart felt as if it was being torn asunder and it was all she could do to keep breathing, let alone standing the moment the door to the garden was closed behind them.
