Summary: Luna comes home after months away
Luna pushed open the door to the shop slowly, she could feel the wards still up around the shop and her old home. The shop smelled like it hadn't been open since she left, which was probably true - she didn't blame Kevin for not wanting to stay there. With a light flick of her wand she opened the windows so she could air the place out.
Everything was still in order, just the way she'd left it actually, only now it was covered in a layer of dust. Another flick of the wrist and she had the place clean in a few minutes - there was a lot of work to do before she could officially open the shop again, which she would need to do if she was going to be saving enough money to get the tools and things she needed.
Her workroom was the same as well, the cauldrons all lined up on the far table, the few ingredients she'd left behind were there as well still in their labeled jars and boxes. Another flick had the work room clean as well.
It was a start but it was all she would do for the night. She was exhausted from her travels and wanted more than anything to climb into bed.
She made her way upstairs, waving her wand as she went to clear out the dust and open the windows. Upstairs was different - it had been a shared space, everything that had belonged to Kevin was gone, his books and notes, his pictures. She wondered what he'd been doing over the months she'd been gone, and she hoped he'd done what she'd asked and not waited for her.
She had started to feel tied down, especially after the baby, and it made her even more anxious to get out and continue her father's work. She didn't want to be tied down so early in her life - there were so many things she had yet to do. She did feel badly that she'd hurt Kevin - but she hadn't been able to remain there any longer - she felt like she really might have gone crazy.
Of course, that didn't change the fact that she'd have to see Kevin again - if only to get the deed to the shop back from him. She just hoped he would forgive her.
For now though, she needed sleep. And at last she came to the bedroom, and threw open the windows, depositing her trunk at the end of the bed before she climbed into bed - clothes and all - and let herself drift off to sleep.
