Faustus snorted and gave Ben a slightly cynical look. Of course Ben wasn't afraid of anything, he lived here. Faustus had already lost his mother and his Dad had told him how much danger he was in. He was actually fairly sure his Dad hadn't told him everything either. It gave him nightmares. Thankfully Dad never laughed or dismissed them.
"He must have," he said with a shrug. "If he didn't like it, you'd know. He doesn't tend to hide that sort of thing."
He was glad to get off the subject of his father. "I like the castle. I've been exploring the dungeons and there's a lot of weird stuff down there. I've meet the Bloody Baron too. He's a little spooky but he seemed to like me. He said he was pleased to see that my father had had a child."
He continued to look around Narnia with a delighted grin on his face. "Let's go exploring for a little while. Is Mr Tumnus here? Or the White Witch? You said you'd seen Aslan."
