Verity read over the owl and tried not to feel petulant but wasn't having a good time of it. She felt her eyes fill with tears of frustration at the message. She needed his help- didn't he understand that? She needed him and he was locked away and now wouldn't even brew a potion for her.
Taking a deep breath she forced herself to calm down.
This wasn't Theo's fault. She couldn't ask him to put his family in danger because she was foolish enough to allow visitors when she knew what was going on in the village. Once she'd calmed down she read over the owl again, biting her lip. She hadn't seen Professor Snape in ages and she was silently worried to contact him. Although she didn't know the whole story, she knew enough about his retreat from the Death Eater encampment that made her leary of contacting him with Montague's knowledge.
Dear Theo,
It really isn't anything to be that concerned about, Theo. I'm fine, I'm sure. I just need some relief from this nausea. I'll try the ginger that you sent, thank you.
Healer Goldstein came to look over Marlowe but a few of the things he said reduced my confidence in him even more. As for contacting Professor Snape, I don't know. The last I heard he was hiding from the Lestranges, is he not so difficult to reach after all? Who am I kidding... he wouldn't hide if one of his students needed him. It's just some simple nausea, I'm sure it's the after effects of this plague virus. Do you really think it's worth contacting Professor Snape?
