Severus hoped to whatever god might be listening that he was getting through to Narcissa. Or, at the very least, was driving her up a wall. He could live with either of the choices, though would prefer annoying Narcissa to no end.
He placed his hands on his son's shoulders, hating the way they had to use him as 'bait' between them. "I understand your meaning perfectly, madam. You seem to not understand mine." He released Faustus, taking a few steps towards Narcissa, enjoying the fact that he was taller and could easily glower down at her.
"There was a danger here. I did my parental doing and sending him to a place where I was certain he would be safe from the danger. I have no doubt that Tracey has much on her mind." The cold smile was back, Severus crossing his arms in front of his chest and staring daggers at Narcissa. "Shall we simply jump to the crux of the matter? You want every last reminder of me away from your son to remove, shall we say... temptation? Is that it?"
