Susan was smirking as they passed through the apparition point. "You do realise that if you start to agree too much with Percy, I'll have to dislike you." She was only joking, and kept up their little bantering.
"How could I forget? And it would be wise to make sure they are all okay for a bit. Perhaps we can keep them in the office, and they can become our mascots, or something." Susan shrugged. A basket of kittens at work wouldn't be a problem, she was sure of it. It might cheer up spirits around the place as well.
A moment later, as Cass wrapped his arm around her and she put her hand to his chest, they had apparated. Brushing hair out of her face, she recognised Linda's garden. The first daffodils of the season were beginning to flower. Spring had finally arrived. "Lead the way, Daddy." Susan giggled, looking forward to seeing Linda again.
