Daphne narrowed her eyes at him as he stalked back over to her, but she stood steadfast. She wasn't afraid of him in the slightest.
"The only one who's been hurling insults here is you, Miles. And I won't stand for it." She'd be damned if she'd let him call her a whore without repercussions.
She could see in his eyes that once again her fury had had a secondary effect on him, and she smirked at him even as he turned and stormed off again.
"See you soon," she growled at his back before she slipped out from behind the bar. If he wasn't going to appreciate her help, she wasn't going to provide it.
