Daphne crossed her arms over her chest, looking infuriated. "Then don't piss and moan when I decide to get my payment elsewhere," she said, motioning to the drink he'd taken from her. "I'm not your servant."
"Cass is my friend, Miles. Always has been, and no one is going to think differently because I'm friendly towards him. It's not like I was leaving the bloody club on his arm or some such rubbish." She threw Cass an apologetic look.
"Well, you're already being a bloody fool. Don't go fucking other people while I'm in the house if you can't even handle me speaking to another man." Her face was flushed with anger, but she held her ground, giving him a glare.
