Miles ran a hand over his hair. Women and their logic could be so damn infuriating. "I was merely mentioning it," he grumbled, "You could have at least told me you were coming. I don't like the idea of the kids alone with the elf."
But to be honest, he hated the idea of them at the pub even more.
He heard the tone in her voice and gave her a dark glare. "I don't need to pay my wife." It was then he flicked his sight back to Cass, and flared his nostrils in that direction. "You might have been talking, or flirting, I don't care either way, but if we're going to convince people we're happily married, it looks a bit bloody ridiculous you flirting right before my eyes."
